The main advantage as I see it is the fact that luggage weight can be distributed evenly in two equally sized panniers. On a short journey it is not so critical if one pannier is smaller than the other or carries more weight, but on a journey of +/- 360 000 km it will make a serious difference.

2. BAGSTER Tank Bag and Tank Cover
I am very familiar with the BAGSTER Tank Cover and Tank Bag. I have been using BAGSTER products from 1996 on three different Honda Africa Twin motorcycles and a Honda Varadero which I rode until 2006. This Tank Bag is the BAGSTER “Minea” which is an exceptionally versatile product in the sense that it is 1) expandable from 12 litre capacity to 21 litre and 2) comes with comfortable carrying straps to be worn as a rucksack. 3) It also comes with large map pocket, inside pockets and elastic holding straps and a rain cover. As I said I know BAGSTER products and chose it because of the high quality workmanship, practicality and durability. It is ideal for documentation and “all the time” items for easy accessibility on a long journey. The Tank Bag easily fits and removes from the BAGSTER Tank Cover and provides a sturdy platform for the Tank Bag while on the motorcycle and at the same time protects the tank.
